About FreeToolsBox
FreeToolsBox started from a simple frustration: most “free tool” sites either bury a useful calculator under layers of sign-up walls, or ship a directory of thin pages that all share the same three paragraphs. We wanted the opposite — a calm workshop where each job has its own bench, its own defaults, and enough explanation that you can trust the number you just got.
What you will find here
The inventory holds roughly 970 tools: mortgage and loan calculators, UK and US tax sketches, PDF and image utilities, SEO helpers, developer formatters, health estimators, and everyday converters. Country-specific pages exist only when the math or the search intent actually differs. A UK salary page is not a US paycheck with a flag emoji.
Browse by category, jump to the United States hub or United Kingdom hub, or open the full tools list. The journal sits beside the benches with longer explanations of the questions people type into Google.
How the tools are built
Most calculations and file transforms run in your browser. That means your numbers, drafts, and uploads do not need to sit on a server just so a widget can multiply two fields. Live network lookups (DNS, HTTP headers, and similar checks) are the exception: they send only the host or URL you entered so the server can query the public internet on your behalf.
Tax, lending, and health-related figures are educational estimates. Bands and rates follow published reference years where we can, and the tool pages say so. They do not replace a Loan Estimate, a Key Facts Illustration, a Form 1040, an HMRC calculator, or advice from a qualified professional.
What we do not do
- We do not invent fake reviews, fake authors, or download buttons that lead nowhere.
- We do not require an account to run a tool.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not pretend a browser tool is a locked legal or medical document.
Who this is for
People mid-task: comparing a quote, checking a payslip, compressing a scan before an email deadline, formatting JSON before a deploy, or sketching stamp duty before a viewing. If you need a full accounting suite or a regulated filing product, you still belong there. FreeToolsBox is the 80% tool for focused jobs.
Contact and corrections
Formulas drift when governments publish new bands. If something looks wrong, use the contact form. Plain language works best: which tool, what you entered, what you expected, and what you saw.
FreeToolsBox is maintained as one workshop, not a pile of ads. That is the whole product idea.
